volunteer with friends of jupiter beach
Our Beach Cleanup volunteers are the most steadfast, dedicated group in the world
Volunteers are the lifeblood of Friends of Jupiter Beach! Our key volunteers provide an extra measure of leadership, creativity and a level of constant energy that keeps the organization humming. The combined years of experience of our Team Captains alone is over 100 years!
Team Captains, in bright orange shirts, lead volunteers safely and efficiently to 11 different sections along Jupiter’s shoreline, supervising clean up, staging and weighing of garbage & recyclables.
Breakfast and Welcome captains, in blue shirts, usher everyone in to the sign-in and team dispatching area with warm welcomes, then begin preparations for the free continental breakfast that all volunteers are treated to on their return from picking up garbage.
Volunteers also bake for the cleanups, capture and share vivid images of our events through photography and videography, act as beach ambassadors, take on myriad tasks during our fundraising efforts, provide expert help with computers, graphics and back office support, fill dog bag boxes, plan social events, recruit sponsors and new Friends, run errands, and just about any task you can imagine!
Beach ambassadors

As an ambassador at the beach, share information with dog owners about FJB, our mission (since 1994) to keep Jupiter beach clean and dog-friendly, the dog bags we provide FREE to visitors, our monthly beach cleanups, and dog beach etiquette.
Pick up trash on the beach.
Here’s how you can get started:
