SUMMARY:November Beach Cleanup & FJB Day Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join Friends of Jupiter Beach for our monthly beach cleanup — and a special celebration of FJB Day!\nVolunteers will help remove trash and debris from a 2 ½-mile stretch of dog-friendly beach\, from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park. This monthly effort keeps our shoreline clean\, safe\, and enjoyable for everyone — people and pets alike. \nIn honor of FJB Day\, we’ll also be celebrating the lasting impact of Friends of Jupiter Beach and the amazing community of volunteers\, sponsors\, and partners who make our mission possible. Expect a morning filled with good energy\, camaraderie\, and a few special touches to mark the occasion. \nWhen: Saturday\, November 8th\, from 8:00am – 10:00am \nWhere: Ocean Cay Park\, southeast corner of US Hwy. 1 at 2188 Marcinski Road (north of Donald Ross Rd.\, south of Indiantown Rd.) Anita Lankler Pavilion\, which faces the beach road. \nWHAT HAPPENS:   We clean a 2 ½ mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park (crossovers 22-59). Return before 9:30 am\, enjoy a variety of breakfast foods\, drinks\, old & new friends\, and FREE PRIZES! \nBeach cleanups are canceled in rain or dangerous weather.Cancellation notices will be posted on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/FriendsofJupiterBeach \nIf canceled\, no rescheduling\, see you next month! \nWHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE: \nSign in & get your free prize ticket \nGrab your gloves\, grabbers & small bags\, provided by us \nJoin a team \nFollow Team Captain (orange shirts) instructions for cleanup areas.  Some sections require driving\, some sections require walking \nClean on the beach\, along walkways\, under crossovers\, in parking areas\, in the park\, etc. We separate recyclables.   Please follow the Friends of Jupiter Beach Volunteer Code of Safety. \nOrganized groups must contact us at hello@friendsofjupiterbeach.org. Our group coordinator will be happy to provide additional information. \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION: \nARRIVE WEARING: Closed-toe shoes\, hats\, sunscreen\, bug spray—NO FLIP FLOPS.  Protect arms and legs. \nLEAVE BAGS BY THE TRASHCANS ON THE SIDEWALK; not on the beach or the road.  Help Team Captains dump into large black bags or blue recyclable bags. \nREGISTRATION: There is no need for individuals to register in advance. STUDENTS desiring school community service credit MUST check in by 8 am sharp to receive 2 hours CS credit. To ensure great volunteer experiences for every individual\, we must limit group size to 25.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on our beautiful coastline\, meet new friends\, and enjoy a fun and fulfilling afternoon.\nWhen: Sunday\, November 16th from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm \nWhere: Ocean Cay Park\, southeast corner of US Hwy. 1 at 2188 Marcinski Road (north of Donald Ross Rd.\, south of Indiantown Rd.) Anita Lankler Pavilion\, which faces the beach road. \nWhat Happens: Students will clean a 2 ½ mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park (crossovers 22-59). Beach cleanups are canceled in rain or dangerous weather. If canceled\, no rescheduling—see you next month! \nWhat to Do When You Arrive: Grab your gloves\, grabbers\, and small bags\, which are provided by us. Join a team and follow the instructions of Team Captains (in orange shirts) for cleanup areas. Some sections require driving\, while others require walking. Clean on the beach\, along walkways\, under crossovers\, in parking areas\, and in the park. Recyclables are separated\, so please follow the Friends of Jupiter Beach Volunteer Code of Safety. Organized groups must contact us at hello@friendsofjupiterbeach.org. \nAdditional Information: Arrive wearing closed-toe shoes\, hats\, sunscreen\, and bug spray. No flip-flops allowed. Protect your arms and legs. Leave bags by the trashcans on the sidewalk\, not on the beach or the road. Help Team Captains dump trash into large black bags or blue recyclable bags. \nRegistration: Students desiring school community service credit must check in by 3:00 pm sharp to receive credit. Organized groups should call at least two weeks ahead of time\, and we will return the call to confirm the cleanup date.
