DESCRIPTION:Friends of Jupiter Beach is hosting their inaugural Friends of Jupiter Beach Day\, on November 16\, 2024\, to celebrate their 30-year anniversary. The celebration will take place in conjunction with their monthly beach cleanup at Ocean Cay Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.\nCLICK HERE TO RSVP & SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER!\nThe event will kick off with a free continental breakfast assortment and coffee provided by Dunkin Donuts followed by a beach cleanup. All cleanup equipment\, including grabbers and buckets\, will be provided by Friends of Jupiter Beach. After thoroughly combing the beach\, the collected trash and recyclables are weighed\, recorded\, and properly disposed of. A raffle will begin shortly after everyone’s return to the pavilion in which volunteers will be entered to win a variety of prizes including gift cards\, car washes\, Friends of Jupiter Beach apparel\, and more! Beach cleanups are canceled in rain or dangerous weather. If canceled\, no rescheduling—see you next month! \nWhat to Do When You Arrive: Grab your gloves\, grabbers\, and small bags\, which are provided by us. Join a team and follow the instructions of Team Captains (in orange shirts) for cleanup areas. Some sections require driving\, while others require walking. Clean on the beach\, along walkways\, under crossovers\, in parking areas\, and in the park. Recyclables are separated\, so please follow the Friends of Jupiter Beach Volunteer Code of Safety. Organized groups must contact us at hello@friendsofjupiterbeach.org. \nAdditional Information: Arrive wearing closed-toe shoes\, hats\, sunscreen\, and bug spray. No flip-flops allowed.
