SUMMARY:Friends of Jupiter Beach Day 2024 Beach Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Friends of Jupiter Beach is hosting their inaugural Friends of Jupiter Beach Day\, on November 16\, 2024\, to celebrate their 30-year anniversary. The celebration will take place in conjunction with their monthly beach cleanup at Ocean Cay Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.\nCLICK HERE TO RSVP & SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER!\nThe event will kick off with a free continental breakfast assortment and coffee provided by Dunkin Donuts followed by a beach cleanup. All cleanup equipment\, including grabbers and buckets\, will be provided by Friends of Jupiter Beach. After thoroughly combing the beach\, the collected trash and recyclables are weighed\, recorded\, and properly disposed of. A raffle will begin shortly after everyone’s return to the pavilion in which volunteers will be entered to win a variety of prizes including gift cards\, car washes\, Friends of Jupiter Beach apparel\, and more! This anniversary celebration also includes a free limited edition Friend of Jupiter Beach Tee-Shirt (while supplies last) as well as a complimentary seafood-free paella and pizza lunch for all volunteers. \nFriends of Jupiter Beach Day Sponsors: Mint Eco Car Wash\, Smith\, Ball\, Báez & Prather\, Florida Injury Attorneys\, Keep Palm Beach County Beautiful\, Michael Kaumeier\, and Jeck\, Harris\, Raynor & Jones P.A. \nWhen: Saturday\, November 16th\, from 8:00 am – 1:00 pm \nWhere: Ocean Cay Park\, southeast corner of US Hwy. 1 at 2188 Marcinski Road (north of Donald Ross Rd.\, south of Indiantown Rd.) Our group coordinator will be happy to provide additional information. \nADDITIONAL INFORMATION: \nARRIVE WEARING: Closed-toe shoes\, hats\, sunscreen\, bug spray—NO FLIP FLOPS.  Protect arms and legs. \nLEAVE BAGS BY THE TRASHCANS ON THE SIDEWALK; not on the beach or the road.  Help Team Captains dump into large black bags or blue recyclable bags. \nREGISTRATION: There is no need for individuals to register in advance. STUDENTS desiring school community service credit MUST check in by 8 am sharp to receive 2 hours CS credit. To ensure great volunteer experiences for every individual\, we must limit group size to 25.
